California-based Advanced Rotorcraft Technology will use Brunner’s NovaSim virtual reality full-motion simulator in the future to demonstrate high-resolution flight dynamics models based on FlightLab software. ART’s customers and future customers will have the opportunity to test and fly different flight models with different model fidelities. Brunner’s NovaSim meets the long-awaited needs of his ART and its demanding customers in the defense, academic and civilian markets.
“We are proud to work with ART, one of the leaders in rotorcraft modeling and producer of the world-renowned FlightLab software. It unleashes the full potential of NovaSim VR/MR and we are very excited to be able to fly the Bell407, Airbus H125, UH-60 Black Hawk and new eVTOL models all in one device.”
“With NovaSim VR, we will be able to demonstrate highly accurate flight models in a fully immersive experience to Advanced Rotorcraft Technology’s current and future customers for both training and technology development. , they have the ability to feel the difference of the flight model in use.Motion Platform’s extremely smooth operation adds important cues to the pilot, effectively enhancing the MR/VR visual display.
The device is currently configured as a Bell 407 helicopter and features the first ART’s B407 physics-based model. Other physics-based models such as the Airbus H125, UH-60 Black Hawk, customer flight models and eVTOL models will also be implemented and demonstrated. Compact and easily reconfigurable, the NovaSim VR simulator makes flight model demonstrations more efficient and cost-effective in ART showrooms and at national and international events.
NovaSim VR provides a stunning 360-degree full virtual exterior view, allowing pilots to fully immerse themselves in the simulated environment. Integrating Varjo’s high-performance ‘human eye resolution’ HMD with NovaSim’s well-tuned motion his algorithms makes a training session in this amazing simulator a whole new experience, giving pilots a unique perspective on his training. A great addition.
Brunner has many years of experience in the field of virtual and mixed reality simulators. Constant innovation and product enhancements are what Brunner strives to meet our customers’ high expectations for products and services. This collaboration between Brunner and ART is proof that virtual and mixed reality simulators are the way forward, helping the entire simulation and training industry to make training safer, greener and more affordable. It will lead to the times! This is true not only for the big airlines, but also for the smaller airlines of the aviation schools around the world.
