At the Arogya Bharti program organized in Lucknow on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned the development work that has been done in the field of health in the state. Chief Minister Yogi said that in Uttar Pradesh, which has a population of 25 crore, only 12 medical colleges were opened in the 70 years from 1947 to 2017. Between 2017 and 2022, 35 new medical colleges along with one district were involved in the construction process of a medical college. one. In 38 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, thousands of deaths occur each year due to encephalitis. From mid-July to mid-November there were 1,200 to 2,000 deaths a year. More than 50,000 children have died in the last 40 years. No effort has been made in this direction.
For the 19 years since I first became an MP in 1998, I’ve been moving around this matter from Parliament to the road. After the government was formed in 2017, I took responsibility. List of affected villages. Coordination between departments. By making the Department of Health the nodal department, the campaign was moved forward collectively by adding the Departments of Medical Education, AYUSH, Urban Development, Village Development and Panchayati Raj departments. Particular attention was paid to hygiene. Providing clean drinking water. Distribution of soap in the affected dwellings. Ongoing review of progress. Hired administrators and doctors. As a result, this disease was eradicated in eastern Uttar Pradesh within 5 years.
Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath said these things while opening the annual meeting of the All India delegation at Arugya Bharti in Lucknow. On this occasion, Federal Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia was virtually present at the programme.
He said that only a healthy body can fulfill all means of Dharma. All means of dharma are present in a healthy body. Achieving optimal health has been a part of every Indian’s daily routine. Whether it is the habit of getting up on time, sleeping, eating or any program related to every ritual of their lives, every Indian family has been associated with it. To build a healthy society, it is essential that we take steps for the health of every individual. In the truest sense, a healthy nation consists of a healthy society. Somewhere during the opening of the annual meeting of the All India Arugya Bharti delegation.
During the programme, the Chief Minister said, Arugya Bharti has been working for the past 20 years to achieve complete wellness nationwide. We all felt the work of the volunteers and staff of Arogya Bharti during the biggest pandemic of the century. He has done a commendable job in making every section of society aware of health without any discrimination. If India’s result in Corona is better than any other country, the biggest reason behind this is that besides government machinery, voluntary organizations have also participated enthusiastically.
The government is making new efforts towards health. Organizations like Arogya Bharti must lead such efforts. I’m sure all of these things will be discussed in this meeting and research will be done on how activities of daily living relate to health. I think half of the diseases can be treated with caution. To overcome the remaining diseases, new and somewhat different efforts are required.
Speaking about the benefit of Ayush during the Corona pandemic, the Prime Minister said that there would be no Indian family who would not consume turmeric in their daily diet. The whole world felt the power and effectiveness of turmeric during the Corona period. Turmeric has been an integral part of our daily routine for thousands of years. The world may have understood the power of AYUSH in the Corona period, but in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi worked to give a new ministry to the country by connecting all departments related to AYUSH. These things show that we do have power, but we never considered them important. The same thing happened with yoga. When the International Day of Yoga on June 21 was recognized by Modi Ji’s efforts, India, and not just about 175 countries in the world, seemed eager to join the yoga. How the whole world feels about yoga reflects India’s attitude towards thriving health.
