We’re still in the early stages of the NHL season, so action-packed Saturdays are still fun and full of intrigue. He has nine games in the evening and this is what his DFS slate covers. The puck he drops at 7pm EDT. Here are some recommendations to get you closer to DFS success.
slate preview
It was a bright night on Friday, but the two teams were back to back. Tampa is home and Colorado is out. You definitely have some solid options in your lineup, but I’m disappointed that Arizona plays at 4:00 PM EDT.
goalie
Yusse SarosNAS vs. PHI ($8,500): Flyers have exceeded expectations so far, but Saros have fallen short. But let’s not overreact here. In his career, Saros has his GAA of 2.55 and a .919 save percentage. Since the start of last season, the Flyers have averaged 2.60 goals per game for him. If both sides of this scenario fall back towards the average, it favors the Finnish goalkeeper.
Jake EttingerMonday DAL ($7,900): Going into this season, I thought, ‘Ettinger could have a good year. Well, so far he has allowed his one goal each in his three starts and has a . 966 save percentage. Oettinger is the 27th-most goals-per-game side of the Canadiens side since the start of last season. Stars-backed Scott He’s not worried about sneaking into Wedgwood’s starting line-up.
carter hartPHI on NAS ($7,200): It was difficult to find a third goalkeeper, so we flipped the match. Hart faces many shots, which is unexpected for John Tortorella’s team. However, he manages his 2.00 GAA and .943 save percentage. Nashville has been middling in terms of goals per game since the start of last year, but only averages his 29.6 shots. Maybe Preds won’t give Hart so much trouble.
value play
alex touchBUF in VAN ($6,400): Tuch isn’t going to keep converting on 38.5% of his shots, but I’m interested in the 3:29 he averaged with an extra man so far. ranked lower. And it happened with Thatcher Demko’s superior overall numbers, this year Demko will enter with his 4.30 GAA and .861 save percentage.
Anders LeeNYI at TAM ($5,500): Lee has scored a goal in each of his last two games and has provided three assists in the previous encounters. I always check which games Andrei Vasilevskiy is winning when the Lightning is back-to-back. Because this means Brian Elliott is likely to start in other games. Vasilevskiy was in the net on Friday. 905 save percentage over the last seven of his seasons with Elliott on Saturday.
Anthony MansaWAS vs. LOS ($5,100): It’s a triple-A day for my values. Mantha has scored in every other game and has three goals in the campaign. He scored 23 goals in 37 games last year. Jonathan Quick posted his GAA of 2.59 last year despite having a .910 save percentage.

blue jacket penguin
Evgeny Malkin (C – $7,900), Brian Last (W – $6,800), Jason Zucker (W – $4,700)
The Penguins boast an enviable Top 6 finish. Since the start of last season, the Blue Jackets have allowed him 35.1 shots on goal per game. This isn’t ideal in the goaltending he’s gotten over the last year with Elvis Merzlikins producing his GAA of 3.61 and a save percentage of .
Malkin is healthy to start the season and shows he still has it. I am shooting. The presence of Rickard Rakell moved Rust to his second line, but luckily, he reunited with Sydney Power with his five points, including his two on his play, and he was reunited with Crosby. It didn’t hurt his performance. Zucker, like Malkin, not only experienced health problems last year, but also bad luck with the pack. He scored 1 goal on 10 shots at the net, but also recorded 3 assists.
canadiens star
Tyler Seguin (C – $6,100), mason marchment (W – $5,600), Thai Delandrea (W – $4,100)
Since the start of last season, the Canadiens have struggled to a 3.79 GAA and are averaging 34.2 shots. Jake Allen is off to a strong start, with a 3.01 GAA and a .906 save percentage over the past two years in Montreal. Regression is coming soon, I think.
Jamie Benn has fallen from his prime, but Segan has maintained his prime last year with five points, 24 goals and 25 assists in four games. The arrival of Marchment saw him score 47 points for the Panthers and Seguin got off to a good start with three goals and three assists. Delandrea gets his first real appearance in the NHL. The 22-year-old is averaging 15:55 on ice and has assists. Playing on this line should pay off quickly.
defense
Alex PietrangeloVGK vs COL ($6,300): Pietrangelo is yet to score a goal, but his playmaking is good with five assists, including two on power plays. Avalanche is his one team heading into his second night on consecutive Saturdays. Alexandar Georgiev is likely to be in the net and his career save percentage is . 908.
Brent BurnsCAR in CGY ($6,200): Barnes has played less time with the Hurricanes but continues to be aggressive with three assists and 17 goals. If he keeps shooting like that, his pack will find the back of the net.Barnes also averaged 3:12 on powerplays on behalf of Tony DeAngelo. Jacob His Mark Strom was great last season, but now his GAA is 3.43 for him and a .862 save percentage. He’s only 3 games, but 2 before his season he was posting a line of 2.66/.904.
Jeff PetriePIT in CLM ($5,500): Usually the Penguin blue line has someone stepping up to become the second option behind Chris Letang. Before last season’s struggles, he had a four-season streak of at least 40 points, and this year he scored his four points in four games and earned his second power playing time. In the Penguin stack, Merzlikins noted that his GAA for the season was 3.61 for him and a .872 save percentage. Scary enough, he’s still Columbus’ best option.
