“Even if I eat unhealthy food once in a while, I don’t feel bad.”

Ein Bild, das Person, Wand, Mann, haltend enthält.

Baran Dogan, you work as a fitness influencer. A healthy and fit body is essential. What do you do to maintain your weight and stay in shape?

I go to the gym at least four times a week and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle. For me, the key to staying in shape is listening to my body and giving it what it needs. Doing it all the time without doing it will only lead to bingeing.

Why is a toned body important to you outside of work?

The point here is that I don’t define myself solely by my physical fitness and related looks. Because you don’t go to the gym to please people, it matters to you personally. Exercise makes your skin more comfortable. Working out makes me feel fitter, healthier, and more beautiful, and it affects my health.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh?

I am 1.85 meters tall and weigh 82 kg. My weight has been hovering around 83kg for a while now. But I don’t have a scale, so I don’t check my weight regularly.

Sports are half. But nutrition is also an important tool. How important is nutrition in your life?

Very important. Living by the saying, “You are what you eat,” I am mindful of eating a healthy, balanced diet. , also affects health, energy and performance.

How would you describe your diet?

Balanced and healthy. Eat lots of vegetables, fruits, legumes, rice and potatoes. Especially since I burn a lot of calories in sports, I try to eat enough carbs, fats and proteins. For ethical reasons, I have drastically reduced my meat consumption so, with the exception of eggs, I rely mostly on vegetable fats and vegetable proteins.

How many meals do you eat in a day?

It depends on what my day looks like. I like to snack on nuts and fruits when I feel hungry in the morning. I’m not a breakfast person, so sometimes I fast and don’t eat anything until around 11:00. For lunch, I usually eat a lot of vegetables that contain carbohydrates. Eat muesli in the afternoon and lots of vegetables with carbohydrates and good fats in the evening.

When you cook for yourself, do you count calories in advance?

not anymore. I was tracking all my calories. But for the last few years, I’ve just eaten by feeling.I don’t weigh food anymore and eat until I’m full.

How often do you allow yourself “cheat days” to get fast food and sweets?

Not so often. But it depends a lot on my desires. Over the past few months, I’ve been craving something saltier. I mean, I’d rather reach for pizza than chocolate. As it happens, he can treat himself with fast food or sweets up to three times a week.

There is no guilt when eating “garbage”. I don’t eat like this every day, and if it happens two or three days in a row, it’s not the end of the world.
