No. 13 Women's Volleyball Sweep Illinois

University Park, Pennsylvania – The No. 13 Pennsylvania State Women’s Volleyball ended the weekend on a high note with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-19) win over Illinois at Wreck Hall on Sunday afternoon. The Lions improved his record to 14-3 overall and 3-3 in the Big Ten, but the Illini fell to his 8-8 and 3-3 B1G.

Clark made the most of his chances, entering the game in the second set following a Penn State injury. She finished with 4 kills and 1 block.

Maddie Vilinovic When Angelina Starck They led the effort in the back row, recording 12 and 11 digs respectively. Bilinovic added his 7 assists.

Penn State used big runs in each of the first two sets to win. The Lions trailed 8-7 before scoring his seventh straight point in the first set. Holland and Markley accelerated their runs, with Holland getting two kills and a solo block and Markley scoring three kills.

Penn State’s next game is a road match against a Top 10 team for the third consecutive week. The Lions will face No. 3 Nebraska on Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET in a game that will be broadcast live on B1G Network. After that, they travel to Iowa for a game against the Hawkeyes on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Nebraska is 14-1 overall and 6-0 in the Big Ten this week after a 3-0 win over Michigan State and Michigan. Iowa went 7-10 overall and 1-5 in the conference with a 3-2 win over Indiana.
