Plisco's NFL Week 6 pick: Eagles survive Cowboys to stay perfect, Bills avenge playoff heartbreak against Chiefs

Prop picks came to life this week as the picks are in the bathroom.i went 9-1 with my props Monday night at CBS Sports HQ.

So I have it going for me.

Unfortunately my pick goes the other way and smells rotten like a backed up sewer. Best bet as part was 2-3. I also went straight up with 10-6.

This brings my season records to 33-43-4 in ATS, 43-36-1 in straight ups and 14-13 in Best Bets.

Don’t worry, the king of props rubs into my picks this week. i promise.

Thursday, 8:20 PM ET (Amazon Prime)

Featured game | | Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders

Dog game of the week. Is it really national broadcast? Both teams have their problems, but the Bears showed some signs of life in their offense last week. Still, Washington is the better team. Look for Washington’s defenses to get the most out of this.

Choose: Commanders 21, Bears 13

Sunday 1pm (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | | Atlanta Falcons v San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers stayed in West Virginia this week after beating Carolina away. This reduces travel wear and tear. The Falcons once again put up a real fight against the Bucks last week. They’ve done it in every game they’ve played, and they will do it here. The Falcons are hanging out.

Choose: 49ers 23, Falcons 19

Sunday 1pm (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | | Cleveland Browns vs. New England Patriots

Mac Jones could return to quarterback for the Patriots. If not, it’s Bailey Zappe again. It may not matter how the Browns defense is playing. Cleveland again uses a running offense to get the football moving, but the New England defense is coming out of a shutout. I think the Patriots will stay close in this game – no matter who plays quarterback.

Choose: Browns 27 Patriots 26

Sunday 1pm (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | | Green Bay Packers vs. New York Jets

The Packers lost to the Giants in London last week, but coming home to face the Jets is their chance to get back on track. The Jets were a surprise team, but this is where it gets tricky. Look for the less-played Green Bay defense to do so here.

Choose: Packers 32, Jets 20

Sunday 1pm (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | | Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars shut out the Colts in Week 2, so they know they can stop them. But while the Jaguars have suffered a terrible loss to the Texans, they’re resting as the Colts defeated the Broncos last Thursday. Jacksonville wins it behind a defense.

Choose: Jaguar 24, Colts 17

Sunday 1pm (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | | Miami Dolphins vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Dolphins should let Teddy Bridgewater play quarterback with his original team. It will give you a big advantage in attack. Vikings can be affected by heat. But I think this comes down to Minnesota’s offense against Miami’s bad defense. The Vikings are behind Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson.

Choose: Viking 30, Dolphin 24

Sunday 1pm (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | | New Orleans Saints vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are playing their second consecutive road game after losing three tough games in the final seconds to the Ravens. The Saints had a win behind Taysom Hill last week, but can we expect that every week?

Choose: Bengals 30, Saints 21

New York Giants’ Baltimore Ravens (+5.5)

Sunday 1pm (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured game | | New York Giants vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Giants are 4-1, and this is another proof game. If they can keep the Ravens and Lamar Jackson down, they can win this game. Former Ravens defensive coordinator Wink Martindale is trying to slow him down. I think he is. The Giants also run the ball. It’s a close game, but the Ravens win in the second half.

Choose: Ravens 23, Giants 20

Sunday 1pm (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | | Pittsburgh Steelers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This will be Kenny Pickett’s first home start. It won’t be easy to deal with that Tampa Bay defense. He did some good things with Buffalo, but that game ended early. The Bucks will pull away in the second half, but the pickets and offense will improve.

Choose: Bucks 30, Steelers 21

Sunday 4:05 pm (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | | Los Angeles Rams vs. Carolina Panthers

Matt Rule has been waived and Steve Wilkes has been appointed head coach of the Panthers. Sometimes it breathes life into the team. But the Rams are just as hungry for a win as the Panthers. They are the better team, and Matthew Stafford finally had a good day, so that shows up here.

Choose: Rams 29, Panthers 16

Sunday 4:05 pm (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured game | | Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals

With Gino Smith off to a quick start, the Seahawks are fun to watch on offense. But the defense was terrible. Arizona’s offense has had problems this season, but this is a good place to work. I think they do. This will be a shootout. Kyler Murray makes the most of Seattle’s defense.

Choose: Cardinals 34, Seahawks 30

Sunday 4:25 p.m. (CBS, Paramount +)

Featured game | | Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills

This is the game of the week and maybe the game of the year. Both teams have high attack power. The shootout between Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen is a must-see. which one is stopped? i doubt it. Let’s hope this is a classic like last January’s playoff game, which the Chiefs won in overtime, with his 13 seconds at the end to cost the Bills a chance at a Super Bowl appearance. This time they win in the second half.

Choose: Bills 37, Chiefs 31

Sunday 8:20 p.m. (NBC, FuboTV)

Featured game | | Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys

This is one of the best games of the week. The Cowboys’ defense against the Eagles’ offense will be the deciding factor. The Cowboys’ pass rush is intense, but the Eagles run the ball to counter it and Jalen Hurts can move. This may be Dak Prescott back in Dallas, but Cooper Rush is playing well if not. Still, the home Eagles are chosen.

Choose: Eagles 27, Cowboys 20

Monday, 8:15 PM ET (ESPN, FuboTV)

Featured game | | Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos

The Chargers are back at home after winning two straight away games. They have played well in attack away but continue to have problems in defense. The good news is that Denver’s offense has a lot more to offer. Russell Wilson is unwell and injured. It’s important. Justin Herbert makes the most of it.

Choose: Chargers 25, Broncos 17
