Vanessa Hudgens makes her first foray into virtual reality by starring in a new video directed by horror author Eli Roth as a Halloween party dressed as a fairy luring an unsuspecting party into a deadly haunted house.
The 33-year-old Spring Breakers star is leading filmmaker short film site Crypt TV’s Eli Roth’s Haunted House: Trick-VR-Treat, Variety reported Friday.
Written and directed by Roth, the 30-minute short film was created exclusively for Meta, Facebook’s widely mimicked virtual reality world.

The Hudgens-starring short features 180 degrees of virtual reality instead of full 360 degrees.
Viewers with access to Meta’s Horizon Worlds or Meta Quest TV will be able to watch the spooky haunted house tour on Friday, October 21st at 6pm PT.
However, viewers who don’t have a VR headset plugged in can do more traditional short presentations on Crypt TV’s Facebook and Instagram pages, which are part of parent company Meta.
The haunted house video is shot from the point of view of a teenager looking forward to a fun night out on Halloween.
In the video, Hudgens stars as a woman who suddenly joins a trick-or-treating party that travels to neighborhoods where the best decorations and haunted houses can be found.

Bad Blood: The group finds out that the house once belonged to a woman known as “The Dollmaker”. This woman made dolls made of toxic glue for all the children in the neighborhood.

But her overly cheerful demeanor starts to crumble when she rings the haunted house doorbell, turns to the camera and says “trick or treat.”
An unfortunate Halloween participant learns that the house once belonged to a woman known as the “Dollmaker” who made dolls for all the children in the neighborhood.
However, the doll was made with toxic glue, and all the children who handled the doll were poisoned, even her own two daughters.
In the statement, Hudgens gushed about her first VR project.
“It’s been a blast working with Eli Roth, CryptoTV and Meta to bring this terrifying tale to life.” When you think about it, it adds so many exciting new elements to playing a character that I don’t want to give away too much, but I can say for sure.

The project is a perfect fit for Hudgens, who goes all out every Halloween and shows off elaborate costumes for his fans.
She recently announced as the star of a documentary documenting her quest for witchcraft.
