The NHL's best and worst retro jerseys. Did the Red Wings make the cut?

featured image

There seems to be no middle ground when it comes to the NHL’s recently launched Reverse Retro Jersey. you love them or hate them.

But clearly, fans have been talking about them since the big announcement.

Hockey Now Editor-in-Chief Dan Kingerski jumped right into the reverse retro debate by ranking the 5 best and 5 worst new alternative jerseys. NHL teams wear new wardrobe items 2-8 times.

Kingelski ranked the San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights first and second respectively on his “Best of” list. The shark color of the new thread pays homage to the 1974 California Golden Seal.

Who has the worst jersey? Kingerski thinks the Tampa Bay Lightning jersey is the worst and the Vancouver Canucks’ Reverse Retro jersey is the second worst. He said it was hard to come up with a “worst” list because there were so many good options.

Red Wings’ Reverse Retro didn’t make Kingerski’s list. However, ESPN ranked the Red Wings 14th in his 32-team analysis.
